A shared table, without an installation
The idea is straightforward: open the browser, meet a friend and play. Rackbi brings a 3D table, cue controls, text chat and spectators together in a browser game. Practice and computer play offer a place to get familiar before an online match.
The public game is also identified as Billiards Arena in parts of its interface. Rackbi is the website and project name.
What the simulation aims to do
The game uses Chinese eight-ball rules and models shots including follow, draw, sidespin, jumps and massé. Online shot outcomes are calculated by the game server so the participants receive the same result.
It remains a game simulation rather than a certified model of a physical table. There is no claim of affiliation with JOY or a professional pool tour. Friendly guest matches currently do not award competitive ranking points.
Help shape the next rack
Play with someone new, share a useful guide or keep a replay of a surprising result. Clear examples of what happened are more helpful than an unexplained score or screenshot.
